Bike Friendly Fort Worth (BFFW) started in 2010 with a small group of civically-minded friends with a passion for bicycles. It was formally incorporated as a non-profit in 2014. The board currently has 8 members.
BFFW believes we can improve bicyclist safety through education and increased visibility. By increasing community involvement, we can build a more united effort to support Bike Fort Worth’s goal of upgrading Fort Worth’s Bicycle Friendly Community designation by the League of American Bicyclists. Fort Worth has made notable progress over the past 10 years. BFFW wants to support this momentum in the creation of more bicycle infrastructure and alternative modes of transportation. Better infrastructure will help overcome the challenge of connecting Fort Worth’s urban and suburban populations. Finally, we aim to create an inviting and clean environment that is safe and fun for resident adults, children, senior citizens, and visitors.
